MND: China Stays Committed to Promoting a Steady, Sound and Sustainable Development of China-US Military-to-Military Relationship
6月13日下午，國(guó)防部新聞局副局長(zhǎng)、國(guó)防部新聞發(fā)言人蔣斌大校就近期涉軍問(wèn)題發(fā)布消息。
記者：據(jù)報(bào)道，習(xí)近平主席近期應(yīng)約同美國(guó)總統(tǒng)特朗普通電話。習(xí)主席指出，雙方應(yīng)增進(jìn)外交、經(jīng)貿(mào)、軍隊(duì)、執(zhí)法等各領(lǐng)域交流。請(qǐng)問(wèn)發(fā)言人對(duì)中美兩軍關(guān)系有何期待？
Question: It is reported that President Xi Jinping had a phone call with US President Donald Trump at the request of the latter. President Xi pointed out that the two sides should enhance communication in such fields as foreign affairs, economy and trade, military and law enforcement. Can you share with us your expectations on China-US mil-to-mil relations?
蔣斌：中方始終堅(jiān)持“相互尊重、和平共處、合作共贏”原則，致力于推動(dòng)中美兩軍關(guān)系穩(wěn)定、健康、可持續(xù)發(fā)展。希望美方停止渲染炒作所謂“中國(guó)威脅”，切實(shí)尊重中方核心利益和重大關(guān)切，與中方相向而行，加強(qiáng)溝通對(duì)話、妥善管控分歧、增進(jìn)理解互信，共同改善和發(fā)展兩軍關(guān)系。
Jiang Bin: China always upholds the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation, and stays committed to promoting a steady, sound and sustainable development of China-US military-to-military relationship. We hope the US side will stop playing up the alleged “China threat”, earnestly respect China’s core interests and major concerns, and work with China towards the same direction to strengthen communication and dialogue, properly manage differences and enhance mutual understanding and mutual trust, so as to jointly improve and develop the relationship between the two militaries.
